The Dark Web

Image
18 x 24"  I did this painting intuitively in a series of steps using s pray paint, watercolor, rubber cement and black ink . .  The ultimate result reminds me of a black web thus the title "Dark Web" which also refers to illicit use of the internet.  It's also a horror film.

Final Project: Self-Portrait with Chakras in Style of Modigliani

Image
18 x 24 inches.  Self-portrait with chakras in style of Modigliani.  I think it needs a wider border to give it a sense of completeness.  Portrait by Amadeo Modigliani, an Italian painter/sculptor. The tattoo is awesome but not real. Midpoint. Initial drawing where I realized the neck is too long and decided to roll with it.

Small self-portrait

Image
9 x 12 inches.  "Realistic" self-portrait.  The eyes should be lower and less wide open.  Midway point. Initial underpainting.
