Monochromatic Still Life
One of my first assignments this semester was to a create a still life painting using only one color (monochromatic).
I'm honestly not crazy about my use of shading or shadows. I guess it technically looks correct but not convincing. It also seems sterile and clinical upon comparison with the initial sketch.
I actually prefer this initial sketch. I think it has more warmth and personality.
