Chandelier update

This commissioned pink chandelier is almost finished.

The Hands of the Artist

I created this collage to articulate the tension I feel between playing guitar and having long, beautiful fingernails.  Creating music has never come to me naturally, so I relish the opportunity to play my favorite songs and create new ones on the guitar.  However, practicing this instrument requires cutting my nails very short which leads to bloody hangnails.  Without the guitar, my nails thrive and I can get ridiculously pretty manicures like the one pictured.  I have never been particularly good at playing it anyway.  Perhaps I will focus a little more on playing drums now instead.

Just because...

Art Lesson

I recently gave a private art lesson.  His goal was to create a piece that "expresses his uniqueness".  I'd say it was a success.

Here is a sneak peek at a new work of art commissioned by a coworker.  It is a chandelier in the colors of pink, grey and white.  The details are very girly and soft.  I'm incorporating jeweled ribbon and images of flowers to create a sculptural, 3-D effect.
